CRONE Character, Radiance, Openness, Nerve & Elegance

Editorial policy

Trust is earned slowly. This page sets out how we make CRONE so that you know what stands behind every story.

Real writers, real experience

Every CRONE story is written by one of our editors and read by a second before it appears. We do not publish machine-generated articles, rewritten copies of other people's work or thin pages made to catch search traffic. Most of our team are themselves over fifty; we write about what we have lived, tried and asked our friends about, and we check it against reliable sources.

Sources

For anything touching health, safety or money we rely on recognised public bodies, professional associations, manufacturers' guidance and well-established consensus, and we keep claims modest. We do not invent statistics, quote studies we have not read, or promise results. When experts disagree or the evidence is weak, we say so.

The tone we keep

We celebrate age rather than fighting it. You will not find "anti-ageing" panic, shaming language about bodies, or the suggestion that a woman's worth fades with her collagen. We aim to be warm, frank and practical, and to respect that readers have different budgets, bodies, abilities and beliefs.

Health topics

Stories in Move & Thrive and Beauty After Fifty are lifestyle information, not medical advice. They include clear safety notes and encourage readers to talk to their own doctor or pharmacist. We never recommend stopping or changing prescribed treatment.

Independence

We do not accept payment, gifts or free products in exchange for coverage, and we do not publish sponsored stories or paid links. Advertising comes from Google AdSense, is clearly separated from our stories and has no influence over what we write.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and update the story's revision date. Please tell us through our contact page if you spot an error.
